Sean Minor was born in the Midwest surrounded by agriculture and the hard work and values that give the people from that part of America their enviable work ethic. The concept of coaxing things out of the earth and bringing them to the dinner table has always been a part of Sean's life work. Wine takes this concept to its zenith. Sean and Nicole believe that wine transforms a simple family meal into a memorable dining experience.

Sean's wine career began after a formal education in finance- a good base for any venture but especially helpful in the competitive world of wine. After many years involved in marketing prestigious brands from Napa Valley, Sean was recruited to the Pacific Northwest to head up King Estate Winery- one of Oregon's largest, and most highly regarded Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris producers. The family spent more than 10 years in Oregon where Sean learned first hand the importance of site-specific viticulture. Accepting a new challenge in 2001, the Minor family moved to California's Gold Country - Amador County, where Sean enhanced his wine experience growing and marketing some of the Golden States best Zinfandel and Syrah.

In 2006, Sean with the support of his family, founded 4 Bears Winery - not only realizing a personal and professional dream, but also creating a legacy for his children.
